Integral Leadership Models

The term "Integral leadership" is a style of leadership that attempts to integrate other major styles of leadership. In "style" terms, integral leadership is an approach to influence that involves understanding 'where people are' (their mindsets, values, goals, capabilities and situational dynamics) and then interacting with them in a way that is appropriate and helpful given 'where they are'.

The term "integral leadership" was first used (in the 1980s) by Ken Wilber, who has written 30 books on integral theory. Since that time, many other scholars and practitioners have used the term in presentations, papers, books, and articles to refer to more "integral" (comprehensive) studies and practices of leadership. Leaders Without Borders fully integrates many aspects of this leadership style.

Human Performance Technology

Human Performance Technology (HPT), also known as Human Performance Improvement (HPI), uses a wide range of interventions that are drawn from many other disciplines, including total quality management, process improvement, behavioral psychology, instructional systems design, organizational development, and human resources management. HPT is a systematic approach to improving individual and organizational performance.

Neuro Linguistic Programming

Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is a discipline developed in the 70’s by Richard Bandler and John Grinder. NLP studies the patterns of excellent behavior displayed by top performers, and seeks to instill said patterns in its practitioners.

The term "Neuro-Linguistic Programming" refers to a stated connection between the neurological processes ("neuro"), language ("linguistic") and behavioral patterns that have been learned through experience ("programming") and can be organized to achieve specific goals in life. Leaders Without Borders actively models top Hispanic leaders and uses their processes to help others grow.

Bilingual - Cross-Cultural Capabilities

Often the environments in which we thrive are characterized by clients with bilingual teams (English - Spanish) or locaitions in countries outside the United States. We are fully able to function in both language and thus understand cultural nuance, communicate with ease and navigate between groups.

These capabilities are also unique in that all consultants are fully versed in local and organizational cultures before we begin a project. Principal Carlos Sanchez heads this committment to fully engaging all aspects of our client's organization.
